Josh Bean Bio
My name is Josh “Bean”. I was born and raised in Oklahoma, so I am an OKIE through and through. I grew up in Yukon, and graduated in 2003 from Yukon High School. I am married to my best friend Heather Miranda Landry-Bean. We have 3 children and 1 one the way; Tyeson 11, Hudson 7, Brynnlee 4, and Benson Micheal, due in June 2017. I am a career Food & Beverage manager currently working for the Hal Smith Restaurant Group at Louie’s on NW Expressway. Growing up my family did catering, ran concession stands all over the state, and even owned a couple small restaurants. So to say that F&B is in my blood is an understatement. (I mean my last name is Bean after all lol.) My father grew up in the Baptist Children’s home. So growing up I was taught to always help others and do everything you can to provide joy to everyone around you. I have recently came into a position that I can do so now more than ever. In June of 2016, I met Dustin Fisher of Operation Christmas Train Set Foundation and we formed a bond immediately. In September 2016, Dustin and I partnered up to do a benefit for Liam Bradshaw and his family. Liam was battling a rare form of cancer called Ewing Sarcoma Bone Cancer. I am happy to report that Liam just recently had his last Chemo treatment and is doing very well. The benefit that Dustin and I put on raised just over $4,200 for Liam and his family. Dustin and I are now currently working on another benefit with the help of the Foundation for Ellie Loy; a 3 year old little girl who is going through a very tough battle with cancer herself. In fact, the cancer possibly might be named after her since doctors cannot figure out exactly what it is. I can see the foundation continuing to do benefits like these to help children in need all year around as well as continuing with the initial mission of the foundation of bringing Christmas joy to children. I have numerous connections from all over the state that can benefit the foundation for donations of toys as well as monetary donations. I also have associates that can help with getting events off the ground from poker/fun runs, benefits such as the one for Ellie, and countless other types of things that can benefit the foundation. Thank you for your consideration in joining the Operation Christmas Train Set Foundation Board.
